Primary developer of Nimbus which is an open source infrastructure-on-demand implementation (it predates Amazon EC2 but that wire protocol is now supported).

Senior Software Developer for the Computation Institute, University of Chicago (with joint appointment to the Mathematics and Computer Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory).

Besides academic/computer things, I like almost all genres of movies and books. Recently I have been reading a lot about food and health, authors such as Michael Pollan and Marion Nestle. My favorite 'sport' at the moment is the sledgehammer and truck tire work at the Monkey Bar Gym.
